The Celtic Cross is one of the oldest and most well-known tarot spreads, offering a deep and detailed look at your current situation. It helps you understand not just what is happening in your life, but why, revealing hidden influences, challenges, and potential outcomes.
This 10 - 30 card spread gives a panoramic view of your journey. The cards explore where you are right now, what’s crossing or challenging you, and the unseen forces at play, both conscious and subconscious. They also show your past influences, possible future developments, and your own hopes, fears, and attitudes toward the issue.
By the end of the reading, the Celtic Cross helps you see the bigger picture: the patterns shaping your experience, the lessons being learned, and the choices available to you. It’s an insightful way to gain clarity, direction, and a deeper understanding of the energies guiding your path.
For all my readings, I use a transparent deck that allows me to build up multiple layers, so the story the cards tell becomes increasingly multi layered. A 3-card reading can blossom out into a 9-card spread, if the cards are feeling chatty, which they often are, and a Celtic Cross can expand from the traditional 10 cards, up to 30 cards.
